On 27/08/2024 Ganesh International School & Sr. Secondary Chikhali celebrated Krishna Janmashtami & Dahi Handi.
Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna. This festival is celebrated in almost all parts of India. Krishna was born in Mathura, and therefore, Janmashtami is a huge festival in Mathura and is celebrated with a lot of devotion and dedication.
It is believed that Lord Krishna liked curd and butter as a child. Therefore, devotees re-enact his childhood days through dahi handi after Krishna Janmashtami.
Janmashtami is celebrated as a symbol of the end of darkness and rooting out of the evil forces. A splendid and colourful performance by the Students of GIS, depicting the birth of Lord Krishna with a message of victory of good over evil.
